We are in our second year of business and located in Port Hood, Cape Breton at the Public beach by the Sunset Sands RV Park. Our tours will consist of a 3 hour cruise along our scenic coast with stops on our beautiful beaches where a small lunch will be supplied. Throughout the tour, the guides will inform the participants of a brief history of Port Hood, Port Hood Island and Henry Island.

Port Hood is a breath taking seaside community on the west coast of Cape Breton Island, and the capital of Inverness County, Nova Scotia. You’ll find us on the Ceilidh Trail, approximately 30 minutes north from the Canso Causeway, which links mainland Nova Scotia to Cape Breton Island. We have miles of sandy beaches on the warmest waters in eastern Canada. We host the annual Chestico Days and Lobster Picnic festivals. We are the home of NHL Hall of Famer Al MacInnis, CFL champion Bruce Beaton, the late “Godfather of Celtic Music” John Allan Cameron, and former Olympian Duncan Gillis, not to mention 2008 Canadian Idol runner-up, Mitch MacDonald!

We have 6 single and 1 tandem (double) kayaks. Kayaking is a very good way to take in the scenery in Port Hood and it is a great way to get in shape! Come out and give it a try, you don't have to be a professional kayaker as it is a very easy activity. I'm sure whoever tries it will love it.
