The coastline along the Cabot Trail, particularly in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, is renowned for its whale sightings. As a result of this international status, a need was identified for a facility which would interpret the phenomena of whales and their marine environment. The Whale Interpretive Centre provides not only this interpretation, but also offers guidance and education to individuals and groups who visit the Cabot Trail in search of an exciting encounter with whales - a true adventure that can only be experienced, savoured and forever captured in one's memories.
