Halifax has grown for over 200 years around one of the deepest natural harbours in
North America. This major population centre has something of interest for every
visitor, from the International Busker Festival to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic
(including the popular Titanic exhibit).

From Halifax, through Armdale Rotary, follow Highway 253 south and look for signs. York Redoubt National Historic Site is a 200 year old fortification overlooking the entrance to Halifax Harbour. This site includes several nice walking trails, interpretive signs and underground tunnels.
