Been in Nova Scotia some years back. My two grandsons live in and around Lunenburg/Bridgewater. Beautiful shore lines there. As you can see we are very much inland from any body of water. We originally started out along the Gulf of Mexico coast line, Louisiana/Texas. It was always so humid there that we agreed to find some where else that wasn't quite as bad. Nova Scotia and Lousiana have a close kinship with one another. Acadianas moved from Nova Scotia to Lousiana. Read up about it, it is quite interesting.

Me and my boyfriend are going there on August 15-21. I haven't been there since I was a little girl with my family, but my boyfriend has never been there. From what I can remember it was beautiful and I can't wait to go on vacation there again.

Two years ago in august we spent two weeks touring Nova Scotia by car. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the scenery so much. Peggy's Cove and the Cabot Trial were great. Ann Murray's place was so enjoyable. She has been a favorite for years. We hope to return and do the trails we missed.

My Mom was born in Milton, Nova Scotia 85 years ago and moved to the States when she married my Dad. I spent my first 10 summers on my grandparents farm in Milton and I am in tears now because your websight has brought me back. I miss it so. I am 17 years old and i have resently fallen very ill.I was forced away from my home 3 months ago to come to ottawa to recieve open heart surgery.Since then i have felt many things and the most of which is a longing to get back to my wonderful island.I miss the sea,the clean air,the nice people,and of corse the incredable scenery.I lay in bed every night with tears in my eyes hoping to get back soon.Tonight i decided to do something different.I decided to find a website that had pictures and sights of my homeland,and thus i found this site.
I think this is a very ,and it has been a thrill to see my home again.I like to say that cape breton(my home)has got to be the most beautiful place in the world.

A wonderful "Willow Grove Christmas" is now a unique memory from Christmas spent in Barrington, NS. The family reunion, the old homestead restoration, the snowfall, the singing and pickin', the poems, the Christmas dinner, the tree and candles again, and most of all the family and friends who were there, all make for the most fantastic Christmas I have ever had. Now it is back to reality, but the Christmas dream of "Christmas at Willow Grove", my old home where I grew up on my beloved South Shore, and to have my three girls join me there, is a memory that will always be unforgettable. Hope to get back soon, to that "place in the heart" - Nova Scotia!!!
