We would like to visit Nova Scotia , but real concerned about the distance from one city to the other . The maps in vistor guide don't show distance in miles.

I am hoping to head over to NS at the end of Aug 2007... my Mom was born in Halifax and it has always been a dream of hers to head back to visit... please advise of any higher end cottages preferably on the ocean to rent for a week... the web sites arent that helpful to be honest... pictures and comments from guests would be great...
Thank you so much.

What a great site! It sure makes me homesick. There's nothing like it here in Alabama. But I'll be back for a visit in two weeks. It will be great to be back in Yarmouth again!

I live in Halifax in the North of England along the Pennine Way. Although it was an Industrial town from the 19th century, a lot of the manufacturing has closed but we've kept a lot of fantastic Victorian buildings. Would love to come and visit Halifax Nova Scotia to compare. What are the highlights that are a "must see"?

It's been almost a year since we visited and how I long to be back. I've been in all but one of the 50 states and all the Canadian provinces that border the US. Nothing compares with Nova Scotia. You have a treasure!

I am origanially from Amherst Nova Scotia but have been away for 28 years and i must say there is so much more to see than i have ever seen It has to be the most beautiful country you have ever been to, and some day i do hope to get back to see the rest of it. I have always loved coming to Canada. Last summer my parents and I went to New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Absolutely love it. About 12 or 13 years ago my mom's Girl Scout troop went to Nova Scotia. I loved it there too and that is why my parents and I are coming back this summer. We are going to do sightseeing adventures and much more. Keep up the wonderful work!!!!!!
