From Halifax, follow highway 101 towards the Annapolis Valley. Turn right at exit 3 and then left onto route 1 (old highway). Follow road through Mount Uniacke and watch for picnic park on left... this marks the beginning of the Uniacke Estate. Just beyond the picnic park, look for the Estate entrance on your left.
Uniacke Estate is a beautiful place to spend the day, especially during spring when the abundant flowers surrounding the estate are in bloom. Sit on the benches surrounding Uniacke Lake, or enjoy one of several trails that criss-cross throughout the estate.
The Uniacke Estate trails offer year-round recreation. These trails (especially the Post Road Trail) are very well used by cross-country skiers in the winter.
