Follow the Lighthouse Route along Nova Scotia's South Shore as it winds through historic shipbuilding communities and traditional fishing villages.  Discover lighthouses such as the famous "Peggy's Cove Light", or explore the pristine white sand beaches and numerous islands that dot this rugged coastline.  Explore the trails of the South Shore by browsing through the listings below.
Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct Print Version
Harbour Seals, Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct Follow Highway 103 along South Shore, past Liverpool. Just past Port Mouton, exit left onto St. Catherine's Road. Follow road (becomes unpaved), looking for brown National Park sign on left side, indicating trail-head. This is a very well groomed trail (mostly gravelled) which leads over bluff to the shore. Look for seals on the rocks to the right of trail entry to beach. Go left at shore to walk along the beautiful white sand of St. Catherines Beach. A great place to experience the serenity of Nova Scotia's coastline.
