Long Island Balancing Rock

Long Island Balancing Rock

Long Island Balancing Rock From Halifax, follow Hwy 101 to Annapolis Valley. Take exit #26 to Digby, then follow signs to Route 217 towards Digby Neck. Follow Route 217 to Long Island (must cross on ferry to Tiverton). Watch for signs to the balancing rock trail on left.

Follow trail short distance to coastline where it descends sharply to the balancing rock viewing platform. The balancing rock is a spectacular columnar basalt sea stack that rests precariously on it's end. You have to see it to believe it :)
