St. Mary's Church

St. Marys Church

St. Marys Church One of the most celebrated of the Acadian Churches is St. Mary's Church in the community of Church Point. An engineering wonder, St. Mary's was constructed between 1903 and 1905. The spire, which towers over 50 metres, is ballasted with 36 tonnes of rock to resist swaying caused by the powerful winds of St. Mary's Bay.
