Parrsboro Shore

Parrsboro Shore

Parrsboro Shore Follow Route 209 as it winds it's way along the Bay of Fundy coast, from Parrsboro to Advocate Harbour and Cape Chignecto Park.  Explore the shipbuilding history of several communities along this route by following the interpretive stops and signage.

Start your tour in Parrsboro by visiting the Fundy Geological Museum and Ottawa House Museum.  Watch the mighty Bay of Fundy tides from the Partridge Island causeway, and look for amethyst, agate and minerals on the beaches.

Moving west on Route 209, be sure to stop and visit the Age of Sail Museum in Port Greville, and learn about the mystery of the Mary Celeste in Spencer's Island.  Take a side trip to visit the Cape D'Or Lighthouse in Advocate Harbour, or walk the beach (or one of many trails) at Cape Chignecto Park.

Combine this route with a drive along Route 2, from Great Village to Parrsboro, and explore one of Nova Scotia's hidden gems.
